Understanding the Cost of Your Dental Treatment
The fees you are charged are determined by the type of treatment required to maintain your dental health. All charges apply to the entire course of treatment, rather than individual items. You will only be billed once for each course of treatment, even if multiple visits to the dentist are necessary. Any additional treatment within the same charge band for a different tooth or a new problem would be subject to an urgent fee.

Who Qualifies for Free Dental Treatment Under the NHS?
You are eligible for free NHS dental treatment if any of the following apply when your treatment begins:

- You are under 19 and enrolled in full-time education
- You are pregnant or have given birth within the past 12 months
- You are receiving treatment in an NHS hospital and it is performed by the hospital dentist

The capital limit for eligibility is £16,000 (or £23,250 for care home residents). The application process compares your income to the requirements at the time of claim.
